Indication & Scope

Celebrex®/YouDeNing® is a prescription selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor indicated for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain in adults.

Mechanism: Celecoxib selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling while minimizing inhibition of COX-1.
Drug class: Selective COX-2 inhibitor; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Clinical use: Relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Osteoarthritis: 200 mg/day; rheumatoid arthritis: 100–200 mg twice daily; ankylosing spondylitis: 200 mg/day, may be increased to 400 mg/day if needed; acute pain: 400 mg initially, followed by 200 mg if needed, then 200 mg twice daily as required.

Time: Take orally once or twice daily with water. May be taken with or without food.

Instructions for use: Swallow the capsule whole. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Interaction: Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, corticosteroids, lithium, methotrexate, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, diuretics, and strong CYP2C9 inhibitors due to increased risks of bleeding, renal impairment, or altered drug exposure.

Side effects: Common adverse reactions include dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, peripheral edema, and hypertension. Serious but uncommon reactions include gastrointestinal bleeding, cardiovascular thrombotic events, severe skin reactions, liver injury, and acute kidney injury.
