Indication & Scope

Icaritin Soft Capsules is an oral anti-tumor monomer for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma patients who cannot receive or reject standard systemic therapy,
with specific peripheral blood biomarker matching criteria.

Mechanism
A flavonoid monomer derived from Epimedium, it blocks tumor-promoting inflammatory signaling pathways, remodels the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, inhibits tumor angiogenesis and induces liver cancer cell apoptosis to exert anti-tumor activity.
Drug class
Class 1 innovative botanical anti-tumor drug, oral small-molecule immunomodulatory anti-hepatocellular carcinoma agent, single-component herbal extract monomer.
Clinical use
Multi-center Phase III trials prove its significant survival benefit and well-tolerated safety. Taken orally once daily; it is the first domestic novel herbal small-molecule drug approved for biomarker-selected advanced liver cancer.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Take 2 soft capsules orally twice daily, after meals. Do not chew or break the capsules.

Time: Continuous long-term administration is required until disease progression or intolerable toxicity occurs.

Interaction: Avoid concurrent use of strong liver enzyme inducers. Combined medications shall be administered under physician supervision.

Side effects: Most reactions are mild to moderate, including elevated transaminases, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue and rash. Rare severe liver injury; critical hypersensitivity reactions are extremely uncommon.

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
