NuoRuiDa®(US FDA: VANRAFIA™) Atrasentan Hydrochloride Tablets reduces proteinuria in adult IgA nephropathy patients at risk of rapid disease progression.
- Mechanism: Selective endothelin A receptor antagonist, reduces renal glomerular vasoconstriction, lowers intraglomerular pressure and decreases urinary protein excretion to slow renal function decline.
- Drug class: Endothelin type A receptor antagonist, renoprotective agent.
- Clinical use: Chronic oral renoprotective treatment for progressive adult IgA nephropathy with persistent proteinuria.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Fixed single oral dose once daily as long-term maintenance therapy.
Time: Oral intake at consistent time every day, independent of meals.
Instructions for use: Monitor peripheral edema, hemoglobin and serum creatinine monthly during treatment; adjust concurrent renin-angiotensin inhibitor dose if needed.
Interaction: Sodium retention drugs amplify edema adverse effect of atrasentan; SGLT2 inhibitors have synergistic antiproteinuric effect.
Side effects:
1. Common: peripheral edema, nasal congestion, anemia, headache.
2. Severe: severe fluid overload, acute kidney injury, severe heart failure exacerbation.
