 Indication & Scope

Ciclosporin Injection inhibits calcineurin activity and reduces interleukin-2 synthesis in T lymphocytes. It suppresses cell-mediated immunity to avoid solid organ transplant rejection.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Dilute with normal saline or 5% glucose solution before use. Dosage adjusted individually based on monitoring of whole-blood ciclosporin trough concentration.

 

Time: Intravenous infusion, slowly infused over 2–6 hours.

 

Instructions for use: Monitor whole blood ciclosporin trough concentration, renal function and blood pressure continuously during treatment. Observe hypersensitivity reactions throughout infusion.

 

Interaction: Medicines affecting CYP3A4 significantly alter ciclosporin blood concentration; regular trough concentration monitoring is mandatory. Concomitant nephrotoxic medicines increase renal injury risk. Live vaccines are prohibited during treatment.

 

Side effects: Renal dysfunction, hypertension, hand tremor, hirsutism, dyslipidaemia.
