Indication & Scope
Isavuconazonium sulfate converts into active isavuconazole in vivo, which inhibits fungal CYP51 enzyme to block ergosterol synthesis and destroy fungal cell membrane. It retains activity against mucorales strains insensitive to voriconazole.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Oral administration, swallow capsules whole with water, with or without meals.
Time: Loading dose: 2 capsules every 8 hours for total 6 doses (48 hours); Maintenance dose: 2 capsules once daily afterwards.
Instructions for use: Do not co-administer with strong CYP3A4 inducers. Monitor liver function regularly during treatment.
Interaction: Strong CYP3A4 inducers and acid-suppressing medicines sharply lower absorption and cause treatment failure.
Side effects: Mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, elevated liver transaminase.
