How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Dosage varies depending on the infection. For uncomplicated vulvovaginal candidiasis, take 150 mg orally as a single dose. Other fungal infections require different dosing schedules and treatment durations as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Time: May be taken with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole with water.

Instructions for use: Take exactly as prescribed and complete the full treatment course, even if symptoms improve early. Patients receiving long-term therapy may require periodic monitoring of liver and kidney function.

Interaction: Fluconazole inhibits CYP450 enzymes and may increase blood levels of medications such as warfarin, statins, sulfonylureas, cyclosporine, and tacrolimus. Rifampicin and other enzyme inducers may reduce fluconazole effectiveness. Avoid concomitant use with medications that significantly prolong the QT interval.

Side effects: Common adverse reactions include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, and mild elevations of liver enzymes. Rare but serious reactions include severe liver injury, QT prolongation, torsades de pointes, Stevens–Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), severe hypersensitivity reactions, and blood dyscrasias.
