How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Dosage depends on the indication. The usual adult dose is 200–300 mg daily (4–6 capsules), taken in one or two divided doses. For hormone replacement therapy, progesterone is administered in combination with estrogen according to the prescribed treatment cycle.
Time: Take orally, preferably away from meals, at the same time each day. The maximum single dose should not exceed 200 mg.
Instructions for use: Swallow the capsules whole with water. Continue treatment exactly as prescribed. For pregnancy support, do not discontinue the medication without medical supervision. If excessive drowsiness occurs, taking the larger dose at bedtime may help.
Interaction: Hepatic enzyme inducers such as rifampicin, carbamazepine, and St. John’s Wort may reduce p4 effectiveness. When used as part of hormone replacement therapy, p4 should be taken together with estrogen according to the prescribed regimen.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions include breakthrough bleeding, breast tenderness, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, weight changes, insomnia, and spotting. Rare but serious reactions include thromboembolic events, liver dysfunction, jaundice, severe allergic reactions, angioedema, and visual disturbances.
