Recommended Dose: Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac; an additional drop may be administered after 5–10 minutes if required. For children, instill 1 drop under medical supervision and repeat after 5–10 minutes if necessary.

Time: Mydriasis and cycloplegia generally develop rapidly, with accommodation usually recovering within 24 hours.

Instructions for use: For ophthalmic use only. Do not swallow or inject. After administration, gently press the lacrimal sac area for 2–3 minutes to reduce systemic absorption. Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.

Interaction: Concomitant use with other anticholinergic drugs may increase systemic anticholinergic adverse effects. The effects of miotic agents such as pilocarpine and carbachol may be reduced when used together.

Side effects: Common adverse reactions include temporary blurred vision, photophobia, eye irritation, conjunctival redness, dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, tachycardia, flushing, and urinary difficulty. Rarely, especially in children, central nervous system reactions such as agitation, hallucination, confusion, or drowsiness may occur.
