Indication & Scope
QuXinKeZhi® Metoprolol Tartrate Tablets provides treatment of hypertension, stable angina pectoris, various types of arrhythmia, acute and old myocardial infarction, and chronic heart failure.
- Mechanism: A selective beta1-adrenergic receptor blocker that competitively blocks cardiac beta1 receptors, reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility and myocardial oxygen consumption, inhibits abnormal cardiac conduction, and lowers peripheral blood pressure.
- Drug class: Cardioselective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist.
- Clinical use: Routinely used in cardiovascular department for long-term control of hypertension, symptomatic relief of angina, correction of arrhythmia, secondary prevention of myocardial infarction, and stable heart failure adjuvant treatment.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Individualized dosage based on disease type; initial 25-50 mg twice daily for hypertension and angina, adjusted according to blood pressure and heart rate response.
Time: Administered twice daily at regular intervals, with or after meals.
Instructions for use: Take orally with warm water, swallow whole without crushing or chewing; do not stop medication abruptly to avoid rebound cardiovascular events.
Interaction: Combined use with other beta-blockers enhances inhibitory effect on heart rate; combined use with antiarrhythmic drugs increases bradycardia risk; combined use with hypoglycemic agents masks hypoglycemia tachycardia symptoms.
Side effects: Common fatigue, dizziness, slow heart rate and mild gastrointestinal discomfort; rare hypotension, sleep disturbance, numbness of extremities and allergic rash.
