 Indication & Scope

Myfortic® Mycophenolate Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets provides  immunosuppressive prophylaxis for acute rejection after renal transplantation, applied to reduce the risk of renal allograft rejection in adult transplant patients.

  • Mechanism: Selectively inhibits lymphocyte purine synthesis pathway, suppresses T and B lymphocyte activation and proliferation, and exerts potent specific immune suppression effect on transplant rejection.
  • Drug class: High-selectivity immunosuppressant, renal transplantation anti-rejection agent
  • Clinical use: First-line standardized immunosuppressive maintenance therapy for adult renal allograft transplantation in combination with calcineurin inhibitors and hormones.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Standard adult maintenance dose: 720 mg twice daily.

 

Time: Fixed twice-daily administration, 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

 

Instructions for use: Swallow whole tablets without breaking; avoid combined use with magnesium-aluminum antacids; monitor blood routine regularly.

 

Interaction:Cholestyramine reduces drug bioavailability; combined immunosuppressants increase opportunistic infection risk.

 

Side effects:

1. Typical adverse reactions include diarrhea, abdominal pain, leukopenia and increased infection susceptibility.

2. Rare reactions include anemia and gastrointestinal ulcer.
