DongZeAn® Olorigliflozin Capsules provides chronic oral glycemic control for adult patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, for reduction of fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.
- Mechanism: Novel selective sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor. It blocks SGLT-2 protein in renal proximal tubules, prevents reabsorption of filtered blood glucose back into systemic circulation, induces sustained urinary glucose excretion (glycosuria) to lower plasma glucose independent of pancreatic insulin secretion; delivers mild diuretic and weight-lowering secondary benefits.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Standard starting maintenance dose 10 mg oral once daily; titrate up to maximum 25 mg once daily if glycemic targets remain unmet after 4 weeks of initial dosing.
Time: Single daily oral capsule taken before the first meal of the day, consistent morning dosing recommended to maximize urinary glucose excretion window.
Instructions for use: Swallow enteric capsule whole with plain water without breaking or chewing; monitor renal function quarterly throughout chronic therapy; educate patients on euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis symptom recognition even with normal blood glucose readings; maintain adequate daily oral hydration to reduce genital mycotic infection risk.
