How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
Time: Evening administration provides the optimal intraocular pressure-lowering effect. Do not exceed one dose per day, as more frequent administration may reduce the therapeutic effect.
Instructions for use: For ophthalmic use only. If a dose is missed, continue with the next scheduled dose without applying an additional drop. After administration, gently press the inner corner of the eye near the tear duct for approximately 1 minute to reduce systemic absorption. When used with other ophthalmic medications, allow an interval of at least 5 minutes between applications. Soft contact lenses should be removed before administration and may be reinserted after 15 minutes.
Interaction: No clinically significant systemic drug interactions have been established. Concomitant use with two or more prostaglandin analogs is not recommended, as it may reduce efficacy or paradoxically increase intraocular pressure.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions include conjunctival hyperemia, eye irritation, burning sensation, foreign body sensation, ocular pruritus, eyelash growth, eyelash darkening, and iris pigmentation changes. Other possible reactions include blurred vision, dry eye, blepharitis, eye pain, keratitis, uveitis, macular edema, eyelid swelling, headache, dizziness, rash, and rare respiratory or cardiovascular symptoms.

FAQ
What is Xalatan® used for?
Xalatan® is used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, helping prevent glaucoma-related optic nerve damage.
How often should Xalatan® be used?
The recommended dose is one drop once daily in the evening. Do not use more frequently than once daily, as increased dosing may reduce the pressure-lowering effect.
Can Xalatan® permanently change eye color?
Yes. Long-term use may increase brown pigmentation of the iris, especially in patients with mixed-color irises. The pigmentation change may be permanent and is usually more noticeable with one-eye treatment.
Can Xalatan® be used with contact lenses?
Yes. Remove soft contact lenses before applying Xalatan® and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
