 Indication & Scope

RuiTanNing® Fosrolapitant and Palonosetron Hydrochloride for Injection serves as a prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting (CINV) caused by highly emetogenic chemotherapy (HEC)in adult patients.

  • Mechanism: Combined dual anti-emetic mechanism. Palonosetron is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that blocks acute chemotherapy-induced vomiting; Fosrolapitant is a long-acting NK1 receptor antagonist that inhibits delayed nausea and vomiting by blocking substance P signaling.
  • Drug class: Fixed-combination injectable anti-emetic prescription medicine, 5-HT3 + NK1 receptor antagonist compound.
  • Clinical use: One-time pre-chemotherapy injection to control both acute and delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting for high-emetic risk chemotherapy regimens.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Single fixed dual-drug intravenous bolus injection administered 30 minutes before chemotherapy initiation.

 

Time: Complete injection within 30 minutes prior to chemotherapy infusion on treatment days.

 

Instructions for use: Administer via intravenous bolus; no dose splitting required; one single injection covers full chemotherapy cycle anti-emetic demand.

 

Interaction: Fosrolapitant inhibits CYP3A4, elevates systemic exposure of CYP3A4 substrate drugs, dose monitoring is required for co-administration.

 

Side effects: Mild headache, constipation, fatigue, transient QT interval prolongation (rare).
