KeZhi® (Compound Methoxyphenamine Hydrochloride Capsules) is a prescription combination medicine used for bronchial asthma and cough or sputum associated with inflammation of the throat and bronchi. Its approved indication is primarily symptomatic treatment of asthma and respiratory inflammatory symptoms.
- Mechanism: Methoxyphenamine hydrochloride and aminophylline help relax bronchial smooth muscle and relieve bronchoconstriction; noscapine provides peripheral antitussive activity; chlorpheniramine blocks histamine H1 receptors and helps reduce histamine-mediated symptoms.
- Drug class: Combination bronchodilator, antitussive, and antihistamine.
- Clinical use: Symptomatic treatment of bronchial asthma and cough, sputum, or related respiratory symptoms associated with throat and bronchial inflammation.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults: 2 capsules three times daily. Children aged 8–15 years: 1 capsule three times daily.
Time: Take orally after meals.
Instructions for use: Use under medical guidance. Do not exceed the recommended dose because excessive aminophylline exposure may cause toxicity. Children should take the medicine under adult supervision.
Interaction: Avoid combining with other cough/cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives. Concomitant use with sympathomimetic bronchodilators may increase adverse reactions; caution is required with cimetidine and some macrolide antibiotics because of potential effects on theophylline metabolism.
Side effects: Possible adverse reactions include upper abdominal discomfort, nausea, dry mouth, drowsiness, and palpitations. Rash, dizziness, vomiting, appetite loss, or difficulty urinating should prompt discontinuation and medical review.
