FAQ
What infections is Clindamycin Phosphate Injection used for?
It is indicated for susceptible Gram-positive and anaerobic bacterial infections involving the respiratory tract, skin, bone, abdomen, pelvis, and bloodstream.
Can it be used in patients allergic to penicillin?
Yes. It is commonly used as an alternative antibiotic for appropriate infections in patients with penicillin allergy.
Can it treat Gram-negative bacterial infections?
No. Clindamycin has limited activity against aerobic Gram-negative bacteria and is not suitable as monotherapy for these infections.
