Description
Indication & Scope
Jascayd® Nerandomilast Tablets treats adult patients diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) to slow progressive fibrotic lung tissue damage and decline in pulmonary function.
- Mechanism: Nerandomilast is a selective PDE4B phosphodiesterase inhibitor. It elevates intracellular cAMP concentrations in lung fibroblasts and inflammatory immune cells, suppresses pro-fibrotic cytokine release, inhibits fibroblast proliferation and extracellular matrix collagen deposition, delivering combined anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic pulmonary protective effects.
- Drug class: Selective PDE4B inhibitor; oral anti-fibrotic respiratory therapeutic agent.
- Clinical use: Long-term maintenance treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis; slows forced vital capacity decline, reduces acute exacerbation risk and improves patient exercise tolerance.
