 Indication & Scope

Fulvestrant Injection (Faslodex®) is a pure selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD). It competitively binds estrogen receptors in breast tumor cells, inhibits estrogen signal transduction and induces receptor degradation, thereby blocking estrogen-mediated tumor cell proliferation without partial agonist effects.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Standard dosage regimen: 500 mg intramuscular injection on Day 1, 15, 29, then once every 28 days thereafter. Each administration consists of two 250 mg injections, one into each gluteal muscle. No dose reduction required for elderly patients, mild to moderate liver/renal dysfunction.

 

Time: Initial booster shots at Day 1, 15, 29; maintenance injection every 4 weeks permanently until disease progression or intolerable toxicity.

 

Interaction: Co-administration of estrogen agents will neutralize anti-tumor activity, strictly forbidden. No significant drug-drug interaction with common chemotherapy, targeted medicines. No dose adjustment needed when combined with CDK4/6 inhibitors.

 

Side effects: Common reactions: Injection site pain, hot flushes, arthralgia, fatigue, nausea, headache, rash, diarrhea. Long-term risks: Osteopenia, elevated fracture risk, transient liver enzyme elevation, venous thromboembolism. Rare severe adverse events: Hypersensitivity reactions, vaginal hemorrhage.

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
