diamicron mr gliclazide modified release tablet 60mg per tablet 30tablets per carton

Description

 Indication & Scope

Diamicron MR® is a prescription sulfonylurea indicated as an adjunct to diet, exercise, and weight management to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when lifestyle measures alone are insufficient. The modified-release formulation provides sustained glucose-lowering effects with once-daily dosing.

  • Mechanism: Gliclazide stimulates insulin secretion from functional pancreatic β-cells by closing ATP-sensitive potassium channels, thereby reducing blood glucose levels.
  • Drug class: Second-generation sulfonylurea.
  • Clinical use: Monotherapy or combination therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus requiring improved glycemic control.
