Description

Indication & Scope

Lorazepam positively modulates central GABA-A receptor complex to strengthen inhibitory neurotransmission of brain neurons, producing anti-anxiety, sedative and anticonvulsant effects. It has medium elimination half-life with low cumulative toxicity compared with long-acting benzodiazepines.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Total daily dose 2–3mg, divided into 2–3 oral administrations; maximum daily dose 10mg. Elderly patients start at 1mg daily with slow dose titration.

Time: Oral administration, can be taken with meals.

Interaction: Alcohol, opioids, antihistamines synergistically enhance central respiratory inhibition; CYP450 enzyme inhibitors raise lorazepam blood concentration, dosage reduction is required. Enzyme inducers reduce drug efficacy.

Side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, unstable gait, dry mouth, headache.

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
