Indication & Scope
ShuaiNeng® (Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets) is indicated for the treatment of chronic liver diseases and improvement of abnormal liver function. They are also used for symptomatic treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema and dermatitis, and for alopecia areata. The formulation combines glycyrrhizin with glycine and methionine and is used as an adjunctive therapy according to the underlying condition and clinical requirements.
- Mechanism: Glycyrrhizin exhibits anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective effects and may help regulate inflammatory responses and support liver function. Glycine and methionine contribute to the formulation’s supportive effects on hepatic metabolism.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults generally take 2–3 tablets three times daily. Children generally take 1 tablet three times daily, with dosage adjusted according to age and clinical condition.
Time: Take orally after meals.
Instructions for use: Take regularly as prescribed. During prolonged treatment, monitor blood pressure and serum potassium when clinically appropriate.
Interaction: Concomitant use with loop or thiazide diuretics may increase the risk of hypokalemia. Avoid unnecessary combination with other glycyrrhizin- or licorice-containing products.
Side effects: Possible reactions include hypertension, sodium and fluid retention, hypokalemia, muscle weakness or pain, gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, rash, and itching. Rarely, rhabdomyolysis may occur.
