 Indication & Scope

Coniel® Benidipine Hydrochloride Tablets indicates for the clinical treatment of adult essential hypertension and angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease.

  • Mechanism: Benidipine hydrochloride is a triple calcium channel blocker that blocks calcium channels of vascular smooth muscle, cardiac muscle and sympathetic nerve endings. It dilates peripheral blood vessels to reduce blood pressure, dilates coronary arteries to increase myocardial blood perfusion, relieves coronary spasm, and improves myocardial ischemia and angina symptoms.
  • Drug class: Triple-action Dihydropyridine Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB).
  • Clinical use: Clinically widely used for long-term stable control of essential hypertension and symptomatic relief and long-term prevention of coronary heart disease angina pectoris, with dual antihypertensive and anti-anginal clinical value.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: For hypertension: 2mg-4mg once daily, adjustable according to blood pressure response. For angina pectoris: 4mg once or twice daily, individualized adjustment.

 

Time: Take orally once daily in the morning or twice daily at fixed morning and evening time, independent of meals.

 

Instructions for use: Swallow the tablet whole with water. Start with low dose and adjust gradually. Avoid sudden drug withdrawal during long-term medication.

 

Interaction: Combined with other antihypertensive drugs significantly enhances hypotensive effect. Concomitant use with anti-anginal drugs enhances myocardial ischemia relief efficacy. Combined with grapefruit juice will increase blood drug concentration and cause adverse reactions.

 

Side effects:

1. Common side effects include facial flushing, dizziness, headache, peripheral edema and palpitations.

2. Rare adverse reactions include gastrointestinal discomfort, abnormal liver function and allergic skin rash.
