FAQ
What core pharmacological advantage distinguishesMethylprednisolone Tablets from many other oral glucocorticoids?
It delivers strong anti-inflammatory activity with very weak sodium and water retention effects, reducing edema and hypertension risks.
What mandatory measure must be taken when long-term administration of Methylprednisolone Tablets needs to be discontinued?
Slow gradual dose tapering is required; abrupt stopping triggers adrenal insufficiency crisis and severe disease rebound.
What types of infection completely prohibit the use of Methylprednisolone Tablets?
Systemic whole-body fungal infection is an absolute contraindication for this glucocorticoid preparation.
What common adverse risk rises sharply when Methylprednisolone Tablets is used together with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs?
Combined use greatly increases the risk of gastric mucosal erosion, gastritis and peptic ulcer formation.
