Indication & Scope
MoMiXin® Mufemilast Tablets treats adult patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis eligible for systemic therapy or phototherapy.
- Mechanism: Mufemilast is an oral phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. It inhibits PDE4 enzyme activity to elevate intracellular cAMP levels in immune and keratinocyte cells, suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion, reduces epidermal hyperplasia and inflammatory infiltration in psoriatic skin lesions.
- Drug class: Oral anti-inflammatory agent; selective phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor for dermatological disorders.
- Clinical use: Long-term systemic maintenance treatment for moderate-severe plaque psoriasis; reduces skin erythema, scaling and lesion area without systemic immunosuppression side effects of traditional chemotherapeutics.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: 15 mg oral twice daily for continuous treatment.
Time: Dose administered every 12 hours, with or without food intake.
Instructions for use: Swallow tablets whole with water. Baseline liver function testing is required before treatment initiation, followed by quarterly monitoring. Avoid alcohol overconsumption during treatment.
Interaction: Systemic CYP3A4 inhibitors increase mufemilast exposure; concurrent use of other PDE4 inhibitors is prohibited.
Side effects:
1. Common adverse reactions: headache, nausea, diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infection, back pain.
2. Severe rare side effects: severe psychiatric depression, severe hepatic enzyme elevation.
