 Indication & Scope

Encofosbuvir Tablets is used in combination with Netanasvir Phosphate to treat adult patients with chronic hepatitis C virus genotypes 1, 2, 3 and 6 infection who are treatment-naive or interferon-experienced, with or without compensated liver cirrhosis.

  • Mechanism: Nucleotide prodrug HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase inhibitor, which is integrated into replicated viral RNA to cause chain termination and block HCV genome replication.
  • Drug class: Direct-acting antiviral drug, HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitor, oral antiviral prescription medicine.
  • Clinical use: Core component of pan-genotypic all-oral curative direct antiviral regimen for chronic hepatitis C infection.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Fixed dose of 2 tablets taken once a day, combined with Netanasvir Phosphate capsules.

 

Time: Taken once a day with meals for 12 weeks for non-cirrhotic patients, and the course can be extended for cirrhotic patients.

 

Instructions for use: Oral administration with meals to improve bioavailability. It must not be used as a single drug for HCV treatment.

 

Interaction: P-gp and BCRP inducers will reduce the blood concentration of encofosbuvir. Combined use with rifampin and St. John’s Wort is forbidden.

 

Side effects: Fatigue, headache, nausea, insomnia, pruritus and mild asthenia.
