 Indication & Scope

Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome Injection (Caelyx®) is a long-cycle PEGylated liposomal anthracycline cytotoxic chemotherapy drug. It intercalates into DNA, inhibits nucleic acid synthesis, suppresses tumor cell replication; the liposome formulation prolongs circulation time, improves tumor targeting and reduces systemic toxicity, especially cardiac toxicity.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: 20mg/m² intravenous infusion every 2–3 weeks, diluted with 5% glucose injection, infused over 30 minutes or longer; do not give intramuscularly or subcutaneously

 

Time: Infuse slowly, avoid rapid injection; dosing interval no less than 10 days

 

Interaction: Monitor with cardiotoxic drugs, avoid incompatible diluents; strict aseptic manipulation

 

Side effects: Bone marrow suppression (neutropenia), mucositis, hand-foot syndrome, infusion reactions, cardiotoxicity, alopecia, nausea

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
