Indication & Scope
XinLiWei® (Cefepime Hydrochloride for Injection) is a prescription fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible bacteria in adults and pediatric patients. It is commonly used for pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, febrile neutropenia, and pediatric bacterial meningitis. Cefepime provides broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Mechanism: Cefepime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in bacterial cell death.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults generally receive 0.5–2 g every 12 hours. Severe infections or febrile neutropenia may require 2 g every 8 hours.
Time: Administer every 8–12 hours according to the type and severity of infection. Treatment duration is usually 7–14 days.
Instructions for use: Administer by intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion. Dosage adjustment is required in patients with renal impairment.
Interaction: Use cautiously with aminoglycosides, loop diuretics, anticoagulants, and other nephrotoxic agents.
Side effects: Injection-site reactions, diarrhea, nausea, rash, headache, elevated liver enzymes, and hypersensitivity reactions.
