 Indication & Scope

Etoposide Soft Capsules (Lastet®) is podophyllotoxin derivative and topoisomerase II inhibitor, cell-cycle specific agent acting on S and G2 phase. It stabilizes topoisomerase II-DNA complex, blocks DNA double-strand repair, causes irreversible DNA damage and induces tumor cell apoptosis. Oral capsule achieves sustained blood concentration for long-cycle anti-tumor therapy.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: 175–200mg daily for adults, continuous oral administration for 5 days, repeat cycle every 3 weeks; adjust dosage for liver/renal dysfunction patients

 

Time: Oral administration, long-term continuous dosing improves anti-tumor activity; periodic blood routine monitoring required

 

Interaction: Avoid concurrent myelosuppressive agents, additive hematologic toxicity will occur

 

Side effects: Leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, nausea and vomiting, alopecia, hepatic function abnormality

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
