Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets (Changzhou Siyao®) is a classic tricyclic antidepressant (TCA). It blocks presynaptic reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine to elevate central monoamine neurotransmitter levels; powerful sedative effect relieves agitation, anxiety and insomnia accompanying depression.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Adults initial dose: 25mg (1 tablet), 2–3 times daily.

Time: Long-term consolidation treatment is required after emotional symptoms are fully relieved; the treatment course is determined by psychiatrist evaluation.

Interaction: Combined use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors is forbidden, a 14-day drug withdrawal interval is required to prevent serotonin syndrome.

Side effects: Epileptic seizure, bone marrow suppression, severe arrhythmia, suicidal ideation in young patients, severe allergic rash.

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
