Indication & Scope
YingBeiQi® (Ceftazidime for Injection) is a prescription third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including septicemia, hospital-acquired pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal and biliary tract infections, severe skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, bacterial meningitis, and febrile neutropenia. It is particularly effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Mechanism: Ceftazidime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in bacterial cell lysis and death.
- Drug class: Third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.
- Clinical use: Treatment of serious Gram-negative bacterial infections, especially those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in hospitalized or immunocompromised patients.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults generally receive 1–2 g every 8–12 hours. Severe infections may require 2 g every 8 hours (maximum 6 g/day).
Time: Administer every 8–12 hours according to the severity of infection and renal function.
Instructions for use: Administer by deep intramuscular injection, slow intravenous injection, or intravenous infusion. Adjust the dose in patients with renal impairment.
Interaction: Use cautiously with aminoglycosides, loop diuretics, and anticoagulants due to increased risks of nephrotoxicity or bleeding.
Side effects: Injection-site reactions, diarrhea, nausea, rash, elevated liver enzymes, and hypersensitivity reactions.
