Indication & Scope
NanGuo® is a prescription corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of allergic and autoimmune inflammatory diseases, including connective tissue disorders, severe bronchial asthma, allergic dermatitis, ulcerative colitis, acute leukemia, and malignant lymphoma.
- Mechanism: Dexamethasone is a long-acting synthetic glucocorticoid that suppresses inflammatory responses and immune activity by regulating glucocorticoid receptor-mediated gene transcription and reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines.
- Drug class: Corticosteroid (Glucocorticoid).
- Clinical use: Treatment of allergic diseases, autoimmune disorders, hematologic malignancies, inflammatory conditions, and adrenal function testing.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults: 0.75–3 mg per dose, 2–4 times daily. Adjust the maintenance dose according to the patient’s condition.
Time: Take orally after meals at regular intervals. Do not stop long-term treatment abruptly.
Instructions for use: Swallow the tablets with water. Dosage should be individualized and tapered gradually when discontinuing prolonged therapy.
Interaction: Dexamethasone may interact with antidiabetic agents, anticoagulants, diuretics, NSAIDs, salicylates, and CYP3A4 modulators.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions include infection, hyperglycemia, gastrointestinal irritation, hypertension, osteoporosis, insomnia, and adrenal suppression.
