 Indication & Scope

Letrozole Tablets (Femara®) is a high-selective non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It strongly inhibits aromatase activity, blocks peripheral estrogen synthesis in postmenopausal women, lowers systemic estrogen levels, and inhibits proliferation of estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Standard dose: 2.5 mg orally once daily, regardless of mealtimes.Standard dose: 2.5 mg orally once daily, regardless of mealtimes. Early breast cancer adjuvant treatment: Continuous medication for 5 years; eligible patients may receive extended endocrine therapy. Advanced breast cancer: Take uninterruptedly until disease progression or intolerable toxicity occurs.

 

Time: Take orally at a fixed time every day; no strict food limitation.

 

Interaction: Concomitant estrogen-containing preparations will counteract therapeutic effect, forbidden to use together. No obvious mutual influence with common chemotherapeutic agents. Strong CYP3A4 inducers may reduce blood concentration of letrozole, close observation is needed for combined use.

 

Side effects: Common adverse reactions: Hot flashes, joint and bone pain, fatigue, dizziness, headache, vaginal dryness, increased sweating. Less common: Nausea, diarrhea, alopecia, elevated liver enzymes, rash, edema. Major risks: Osteoporosis, elevated fracture risk, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular adverse events.

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
