 Indication & Scope

Trametinib Tablets (Mekinist®) is selective MEK1/2 inhibitor. It inhibits MEK kinase downstream of BRAF, blocks abnormal MAPK signaling pathway, suppresses proliferation and induces apoptosis of BRAF-mutated tumor cells.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Melanoma / NSCLC / anaplastic thyroid carcinoma: 2mg once daily continuous oral administration

 

Time: Take at the same time every day, empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals), swallow whole without crushing/chewing

 

Interaction: Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors significantly increase trametinib exposure; strong CYP3A4 inducers reduce efficacy, avoid concomitant use

 

Side effects: Rash, dry skin, diarrhea, peripheral edema, fatigue, hypertension; severe risks: cardiomyopathy, retinal vein occlusion, interstitial lung disease, severe hemorrhage, secondary malignancies

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
