 Indication & Scope

Irinotecan Hydrochloride Injection(Campto®) is a topoisomerase I inhibitor cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent. Its active metabolite SN-38 inhibits topoisomerase I, stabilizes DNA single-strand breaks, blocks DNA replication and transcription, leading to tumor cell death. It is core medication for gastrointestinal malignant tumors.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: 180mg/m² intravenous infusion over 90 minutes once every 2 weeks, combined with fluoropyrimidines; premedicate anti-cholinergic drugs to prevent early diarrhea

 

Time: Biweekly cycle; monitor delayed diarrhea closely within 24–48h after infusion

 

Interaction: Avoid strong CYP3A4 inducers/inhibitors; St. John’s Wort is forbidden

 

Side effects: Delayed diarrhea, neutropenia, cholinergic syndrome (sweating, abdominal cramp), nausea and vomiting, fatigue

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
