Indication & Scope
Saridon® is an over-the-counter combination analgesic and antipyretic indicated for the relief of fever associated with the common cold or influenza and for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, including headache, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, joint pain, neuralgia, and dysmenorrhea. The combination of paracetamol, propyphenazone, and caffeine provides rapid and effective pain relief while reducing fever.
- Mechanism: Paracetamol and propyphenazone inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system to relieve pain and reduce fever, while caffeine enhances analgesic efficacy and helps relieve vascular headaches by mild central nervous system stimulation.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults should take 1–2 tablets up to three times daily, with doses spaced at least 4–6 hours apart if needed. Children 6 years and older may take ½–1 tablet three times daily under adult supervision. Continuous use should not exceed 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain unless directed by a physician.
Time: May be taken with or without food and swallowed with water.
Instructions for use: Do not exceed the recommended dosage or take other medicines containing paracetamol or propyphenazone concurrently. Patients with liver or kidney impairment, elderly individuals, and those who consume alcohol regularly should consult a healthcare professional before use.
Interaction: Alcohol and hepatic enzyme inducers such as rifampicin or carbamazepine may increase the risk of liver toxicity. Long-term use with warfarin may enhance anticoagulant effects and increase bleeding risk.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions include nausea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, rash, and pruritus. Rare but serious reactions include severe skin reactions, blood disorders, and hepatotoxicity following overdose.
