Lamotrigine blocks voltage-sensitive sodium channels to suppress abnormal neuronal discharges for seizure control. It inhibits excessive glutamate release to stabilize mood and prevent bipolar affective episodes.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Slow dose titration is mandatory to reduce rash risk. Combined with valproate: initial dose 25 mg every other day; combined with enzyme-inducing antiepileptics: initial dose 50 mg once daily. The maximum maintenance dose is 400 mg per day.
Time: Swallow whole, can be taken with or without meals.
Interaction: Sodium valproate doubles blood concentration of lamotrigine; carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine speed up lamotrigine metabolism and reduce its efficacy. Dosage adjustment is compulsory when combined with above medicines.
Side effects: Dizziness, headache, somnolence, nausea, double vision, slight transient rash.
Important Notice
This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
