Bicalutamide Tablets (Casodex®) is a selective nonsteroidal androgen receptor antagonist. It competitively binds to androgen receptors in prostate tumor cells, blocks intracellular androgen signal transduction, suppresses proliferation of androgen-dependent prostate cancer cells and induces tumor cell apoptosis.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Standard dosage regimen: 50 mg orally once daily for metastatic prostate cancer, combined with LHRH analogues simultaneously.
Time: Fixed daily oral administration; continuous medication until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. Food intake has no influence on absorption.
Interaction: Bicalutamide inhibits CYP3A4; blood concentration monitoring is required when combined with drugs metabolized via CYP3A4 such as warfarin, statins and calcium channel blockers.
Side effects: Common reactions: Hot flushes, gynecomastia, breast tenderness, fatigue, constipation, nausea, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction. Long-term risks: Osteoporosis, anemia, elevated blood lipid levels. Rare severe adverse events: Transaminase elevation, rash, systemic hypersensitivity.
Important Notice
This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.
