Indication & Scope
Azathioprine converts to 6-mercaptopurine in vivo, blocking purine synthesis and inhibiting proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. It suppresses abnormal autoimmune response and reduces transplant rejection.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Oral administration, swallowed whole with sufficient water after meals.
Time: 1.5–4mg/kg daily, once or divided into multiple doses.
Instructions for use: Regular blood routine and liver function monitoring are required. Avoid breaking or crushing tablets. Effective contraception is required for patients of childbearing age.
Interaction: Allopurinol significantly increases azathioprine toxicity; dosage must be greatly reduced when combined. Concurrent use with other myelosuppressive drugs raises hematologic risks.
Side effects: Leukopenia, liver function abnormality, nausea, vomiting.
