Indication & Scope

Atezolizumab Injection (Tecentriq®) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting PD-L1. It blocks PD-L1 binding to PD-1 and B7.1, restores anti-tumor immune activity of T lymphocytes and reverses tumor immune escape.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: 1200mg administered intravenously once every 3 weeks

Time: Intravenous infusion over 60 minutes for the first dose; if well tolerated, subsequent infusions may be completed within 30 minutes; do not administer as rapid bolus or IV push

Interaction: Avoid long-term high-dose systemic corticosteroids and immunosuppressants before treatment, except for managing immune-related adverse events

Side effects: Fatigue, decreased appetite, nausea, cough, dyspnea; severe risks: Immune-related pneumonitis, hepatitis, colitis, endocrinopathies, severe infusion reactions

Important Notice

This product shall only be used for post-exposure rabies prophylaxis by professional medical staff. It must be applied combined with rabies vaccine and injected via wound infiltration plus intramuscular routes as specified. Do not administer intravenously or alter the dosage at will. Hypersensitivity monitoring is required throughout the whole injection process.

Atezolizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets PD-L1, the first PD-L1 inhibitor to receive FDA approval and one whose use is rapidly expanding.

When to stop atezolizumab?

If SCAR is suspected, withhold atezolizumab and refer the patient to a specialist. Permanently discontinue atezolizumab for confirmed SJS/TEN of any grade or grade 4 SCAR.

What should I know before taking atezolizumab?

Conduct a pregnancy test prior to atezolizumab initiation. Avoid pregnancy during treatment and for 5 months after the final dose. Consult your physician for contraceptive options.
