Indication & Scope
AoFuMin® is a prescription recombinant human albumin indicated for the treatment of hypoalbuminemia in adult patients with liver cirrhosis and serum albumin levels of ≤30 g/L.
- Mechanism: Recombinant human albumin is produced using a rice endosperm expression platform and has the same amino acid sequence and biological functions as plasma-derived human albumin. It increases plasma colloid osmotic pressure, expands circulating plasma volume, and corrects hypoalbuminemia.
- Drug class: Recombinant human albumin.
- Clinical use: Treatment of hypoalbuminemia in adults with liver cirrhosis.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Administer by intravenous infusion. The dosage and infusion rate should be individualized according to the patient’s clinical condition, circulating blood volume, and degree of albumin deficiency.
Time: Initiate the infusion slowly during the first 15 minutes. In patients with normal blood volume, the infusion rate should generally not exceed 2 mL/min.
Instructions for use: For intravenous use only. Do not administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Once opened, the solution should be infused within 4 hours, and any unused portion should be discarded. Monitor serum albumin levels, fluid status, and liver and renal function during treatment.
Interaction: No clinically significant drug interactions have been identified. Do not mix this product with other medicinal products in the same infusion container.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions include headache, flushing, nausea, and infusion-site reactions. Rare hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Excessive infusion may lead to hypervolemia and circulatory overload, particularly in patients with cardiac impairment.
