 Indication & Scope

MoMiXin® is a prescription selective phosphodiesterase 4B (PDE4B) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for phototherapy or systemic therapy.

  • Mechanism: Mufemilast is a highly selective PDE4B inhibitor that increases intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels, suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokine production, and reduces chronic inflammation and keratinocyte hyperproliferation associated with plaque psoriasis.
  • Drug class: Selective PDE4B inhibitor.
  • Clinical use: Systemic treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults eligible for phototherapy or systemic therapy.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: The recommended dose is 60 mg orally twice daily (four 15 mg tablets per dose), approximately 12 hours apart, with or without food.

 

Time: Tablets should be taken twice daily at regular 12-hour intervals and swallowed whole. Do not crush, split, or chew the tablets.

 

Instructions for use: Mufemilast may be taken with or without food. Treatment should be continued as prescribed for long-term disease control. No routine dose adjustment is required for elderly patients or for patients with mild to moderate hepatic or renal impairment. The safety and efficacy of Mufemilast in patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

 

Interaction: No clinically significant drug-drug interactions have been identified to date. Mufemilast may generally be administered concomitantly with topical therapies and commonly prescribed medications, although concomitant treatment should follow the approved prescribing information.

 

Side effects: Common adverse reactions include mild gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. Most adverse events are mild to moderate and tend to decrease with continued treatment.
