Indication & Scope
XianYiDa® (Ecnoglutide) is a Class 1 innovative biological product developed by Hangzhou Xianweida Biotechnology for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control.Ecnoglutide is a cAMP-biased glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon release to improve blood glucose control.
- Mechanism: Ecnoglutide preferentially activates the cAMP signaling pathway while reducing β-arrestin recruitment, potentially decreasing receptor desensitization. It promotes glucose-dependent insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon secretion through GLP-1 receptor activation.
- Drug class: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.
- Clinical use: Treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus:As monotherapy in patients inadequately controlled by diet and exercise.As combination therapy with metformin in patients inadequately controlled by diet, exercise, and metformin.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: 20 mg administered orally twice daily according to the approved prescribing information.
Time: The recommended starting dose is 1.2 mg once weekly by subcutaneous injection. After 4 weeks, the dose may be increased to 2.4 mg once weekly as the maintenance dose according to clinical response.
Instructions for use: Administer by subcutaneous injection into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly. If a dose is missed, administer as soon as possible if the next scheduled dose is at least 48 hours away. If less than 48 hours remain, skip the missed dose and resume the regular schedule. Do not administer double doses.

Side effects: Common adverse reactions include nausea, diarrhea, decreased appetite, abdominal distension, vomiting, constipation, and fatigue. Serious risks may include pancreatitis, thyroid C-cell tumor risk, and hypoglycemia.
