Indication & Scope
YiTaiQing® (Irbesartan Capsules) are indicated for the treatment of hypertension in adults. Irbesartan may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, including thiazide diuretics, when additional blood pressure control is required.
- Mechanism: Irbesartan selectively blocks angiotensin II from binding to the AT₁ receptor, reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone-mediated effects and thereby lowering blood pressure.
- Drug class: Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB).
- Clinical use: Once-daily treatment of hypertension, as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: 150 mg once daily; may be increased to 300 mg once daily according to blood pressure response.
Time: Take orally once daily, with or without food.
Instructions for use: Swallow the capsule with water. If blood pressure control is inadequate, a thiazide diuretic or another antihypertensive may be added under medical supervision.
Interaction: Concomitant use with potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, or other agents that increase serum potassium may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. Combination with other antihypertensives may enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effect.
Side effects: Common reactions include dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, and musculoskeletal symptoms. Hyperkalemia and hypotension may occur. Rare serious reactions include angioedema and hypersensitivity reactions.
