Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide and Guaifenesin Syrup (QiangNuo®) is an over-the-counter respiratory medicine used for cough and sputum expectoration caused by upper respiratory tract infection and bronchitis.

Mechanism: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide suppresses the cough center in the brain to stop cough; Guaifenesin reduces sputum viscosity and promotes mucus discharge.
Drug class: Antitussive and Expectorant, OTC Respiratory Agent
Clinical use: Relief of cough and sputum production from upper respiratory tract infections and bronchitis.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: Oral administration. Adults and children over 12 years old: 10–20 mL each time, 3 times daily; maximum 4 times within 24 hours.

Time: Take after meals. Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.

Instructions for use: For oral use only. Do not combine with other antitussive or cold medicines containing the same active ingredients. Shake well before use.

Interaction: It may enhance the sedative effect when combined with antidepressants, sedatives or alcohol. Avoid concomitant use.

Side effects: Mild dizziness, headache, drowsiness, nausea and gastrointestinal upset may occur. Discontinue use immediately if allergic reactions appear.

Important Notice

For oral use only. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Patients with active gastric ulcer, women in early pregnancy are prohibited from using this product.
Drowsiness may occur after administration. Do not drive, operate machinery or perform dangerous tasks.
If symptoms persist for more than 7 days or worsen, please consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not take together with other antitussive medicines containing dextromethorphan.
