Indication & Scope
FuLiAn® Allisartan Isoproxil and Indapamide Sustained-release Tablets indicates for the treatment of adult essential hypertension. It is specially applicable to patients whose blood pressure cannot be effectively controlled by single-agent allisartan isoproxil treatment.
- Mechanism: Allisartan isoproxil is a selective angiotensin II receptor blocker that dilates blood vessels and reduces blood pressure by blocking angiotensin II receptors. Indapamide is a long-acting diuretic that reduces blood volume through mild diuretic and natriuretic effects. The two ingredients produce synergistic long-acting antihypertensive effects through different pathways, reducing blood pressure fluctuation.
- Drug class: Compound Preparation of Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) and Thiazide-like Diuretic.
- Clinical use: Clinically used for second-line treatment of essential hypertension with poor single-drug control, simplifying medication regimen, improving blood pressure compliance rate, and achieving smooth long-term blood pressure reduction.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: The usual therapeutic dose is one sustained-release tablet taken orally once daily.
Time: Take once daily at a fixed time in the morning, with or without food.
Instructions for use: Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water, do not chew, crush or split to avoid damaging sustained-release structure and affecting efficacy duration. Take regularly at fixed time every day.
Interaction: Combined with potassium-sparing drugs increases electrolyte disorder risk. Concurrent use with other antihypertensive drugs enhances hypotensive effect. Combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may reduce diuretic and antihypertensive efficacy.
Side effects:
1. Common side effects include mild dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth and electrolyte fluctuation.
2. Rare adverse reactions include hypotension, gastrointestinal discomfort, joint pain and abnormal renal function.
