siluntai acipimox capsules hypertriglyceridemia mixed hyperlipidemia 0

Description

 Indication & Scope

SiLunTai® Acipimox Capsules treats hypertriglyceridemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. It is used as an alternative lipid-lowering therapy for patients who cannot tolerate statin or fibrate lipid-lowering drugs.

  • Mechanism: Acipimox inhibits lipolysis in adipose tissue, reduces free fatty acid release into the liver, inhibits hepatic triglyceride synthesis and very low-density lipoprotein secretion, thereby significantly reducing serum triglyceride levels and moderately lowering total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein levels.
  • Drug class: Nicotinic Acid Derivative Lipid-lowering Agent.
  • Clinical use: Clinically used for the treatment of moderate to severe hypertriglyceridemia and mixed hyperlipidemia, especially for patients with statin or fibrate intolerance, to regulate blood lipid levels and reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk.
