Indication & Scope
PaiDaKang® Visepegenatide Injection provides glycemic control in adult patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Mechanism: Long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist. It activates GLP-1 receptors on pancreatic beta cells to promote glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppress glucagon release, delay gastric emptying and reduce food intake, lowering fasting and postprandial blood glucose.
- Drug class: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist / Injectable hypoglycemic peptide drug.
- Clinical use: Single-agent glycemic management for type 2 diabetes adults; can be combined with metformin for enhanced blood sugar reduction and mild weight control.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Initial starting dose: 0.3 mg once weekly subcutaneously; titrate up to maintenance 0.97 mg weekly based on individual glycemic response.
Time: Inject subcutaneously once every 7 days, can be administered at any time of day independent of meals.
Instructions for use: Administer subcutaneous injection into abdomen, thigh or upper arm; rotate injection sites weekly to avoid local reaction; adjust dose gradually to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
Interaction: Concurrent insulin or sulfonylurea hypoglycemics increase hypoglycemia risk; calcium/magnesium oral supplements delay peptide absorption, separate administration by 2 hours.
Side effects:
1. Common: mild nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, injection site redness, fatigue.
2. Rare severe risks: acute pancreatitis, gallbladder stone formation, severe hypoglycemia when combined with insulin.
