BaiYunShan®/Canesten® Clotrimazole Vaginal Suppositories are an over-the-counter (OTC) antifungal medicine indicated for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (yeast infection). They help relieve vulvar itching, burning, curd-like vaginal discharge, and other symptoms caused by Candida infections.
- Mechanism: Clotrimazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, resulting in increased membrane permeability and elimination of susceptible fungi.
- Drug Class: Imidazole antifungal.
- Clinical Use: Local treatment of vaginal yeast infections and relief of associated vulvovaginal symptoms.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Insert one suppository deeply into the vagina once daily at bedtime for 7 consecutive days. Complete the full treatment course even if symptoms improve earlier.
Time: Administer at bedtime. It is generally recommended to pause treatment during menstruation, as menstrual flow may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine.
Instructions for use: Wash your hands and cleanse the external genital area before use. Insert the suppository deeply into the vagina using a finger or the provided applicator (if supplied). Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. This product is for vaginal use only and should not be swallowed or used in the eyes.
Interaction: Clotrimazole may damage latex condoms and diaphragms, reducing their contraceptive effectiveness. If other vaginal medications are required, administer them at least 2 hours apart.
Side effects: Mild local burning, stinging, or temporary worsening of itching may occur. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or swelling have been reported.
