Indication & Scope
Cofrogliptin Tablets improves glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Mechanism: Selective DPP-4 inhibitor, inhibits dipeptidyl peptidase 4 to prolong endogenous GLP-1 and GIP half-life. Increases insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner to lower blood glucose.
- Drug class: DPP-4 inhibitor, oral anti-diabetic agent.
- Clinical use: Monotherapy or combination therapy with metformin for glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: 10 mg orally, no dosage titration required.
Time: Taken every 2 weeks.
Instructions for use:
1. Swallow tablets whole with plain water.
2. Monitor patients for persistent abdominal pain suggestive of pancreatitis.
3. Dose adjustment is required for moderate to severe renal impairment.
4. No dose adjustment needed for hepatic dysfunction.
Interaction:
1. No major CYP450 metabolic interactions with most common anti-diabetic medications.
2. Concomitant sulfonylureas increase hypoglycemia risk.
3. Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors slightly raise risk of angioedema.
Side effects:
1. Common: Nasopharyngitis, headache, arthralgia, upper respiratory tract infection
2. Severe: Acute pancreatitis, severe hypersensitivity angioedema, bullous pemphigoid
