Indication & Scope
YunZhi® Erythromycin Eye Ointment is used for trachoma, conjunctivitis, blepharitis and external ocular bacterial infections.
- Mechanism: Erythromycin is a macrolide broad-spectrum antibiotic. It inhibits protein synthesis of ocular surface pathogenic bacteria, exerts bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects on gram-positive bacteria causing eye infections, and eliminates superficial ocular bacterial inflammation.
- Drug class: Topical ophthalmic antibacterial antibiotic preparation.
- Clinical use: Clinically used for external ocular anti-infection treatment of bacterial trachoma, conjunctivitis, blepharitis and other superficial eye bacterial infections.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Apply appropriate amount of ointment into the conjunctival sac, once or twice a day, preferably before bedtime.
Time: Daily conventional application before bedtime for sustained overnight drug effect.
Instructions for use: For external ocular use only. Keep the ointment tube clean to avoid secondary eye infection. Discontinue use if eye irritation or allergy occurs.
Interaction: No obvious adverse drug interactions with common eye drops. Concurrent use of multiple ophthalmic antibacterial preparations requires interval administration.
Side effects: Occasional transient eye burning sensation, dry eye and foreign body sensation after application. Rare ocular allergic redness and swelling.
