Indication & Scope
Panadol® is an over-the-counter analgesic and antipyretic indicated for the relief of fever associated with the common cold or influenza and mild to moderate pain, including headache, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, joint pain, neuralgia, and dysmenorrhea.
- Mechanism: Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis primarily within the central nervous system, producing analgesic and antipyretic effects with minimal peripheral anti-inflammatory activity.
- Drug class: Analgesic and antipyretic.
- Clinical use: Relief of fever and mild to moderate pain.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Adults and children 12 years and older: 500 mg (1 tablet) every 4–6 hours as needed. Children 6–12 years: 250 mg (½ tablet) every 4–6 hours as directed. Do not exceed 4 doses within 24 hours.
Time: Take orally with water, with or without food.
Instructions for use: Use for no more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain unless directed by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Interaction: Avoid concomitant use with other products containing paracetamol, excessive alcohol, warfarin (long-term use), or enzyme-inducing drugs such as rifampicin and carbamazepine.
Side effects: Common adverse reactions are uncommon but may include rash, itching, or allergic reactions. Rare but serious reactions include severe skin reactions, liver injury, blood disorders, and acute overdose-related hepatotoxicity.
